Child Protection and Safeguarding Statement:

Enterprising Youth fully recognises its responsibilities for child protection.

Enterprising Youth complies with Safer Recruitment Practice in line with the Keeping Children Safe DfE guidance, including the disqualification by association regulations.

Our policy applies to all staff, associates and volunteers working for or under the umbrella of our organisation. The five main elements of our policy are to:

  • Ensure we practice safe recruitment in checking the suitability of staff and volunteers who work with children, young people and vulnerable adults.

  • Raise awareness of child protection issues and equip children and young people with the skills needed to keep them safe.

  • Develop and implement procedures for identifying and reporting cases, or suspected cases, of abuse.

  • Establish a safe environment in which children, young people and vulnerable adults can learn and develop.

  • Ensure the delivery of quality safeguarding training to all permanent staff, and keep this updated.

We place a high priority on keeping children, young people and vulnerable adults safe when they are in our care.
